The event commenced by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The programme commenced with a wonderful dance presentation of Nursery and Class 1 on “Bawla Sa Sapna’. An array of other dance performances mesmerized the audience and left them spellbound. The tribal dance of Africa, the colourful and scintillating Ghoomar dance were applauded by everyone. The guests and the parents were swayed away by a spectacular performance of KG students. It was a feast to the eyes to see a mesmerizing and energetic ‘Shiv Tandav’ by the students of Class 3. The gathering was taken to the golden era of Bollywood with a wonderful presentation on ‘Raat Ka Samaa’ and ‘Eena Meena Deeka’.

The budding artists showcased different emotions on the stage through a Hindi Play ‘Alibaba aur Chalis Chor’. An English Play ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ was beautifully enacted and spread the message to keep one’s promise at all the times.

A glittering bonanza of musical renditions received thundering applause from the spectators. The Shri Subhasish Haldar praised the efforts put in by the students and the teachers. The Junior Annual Concert saw its culmination with the National Anthem.

The events that were conducted today involved all the students of Classes Nursery to 3. Young athletes of Nursery actively participated in “Crawling Race” and “Treasure Hunt Race”. Other events of the day were “Control The Ball Race”, “Dress Race”, “Passing The Hula Hoop Race”, “Coloured Ball Race”, “Dragging The Hula Hoop Race”, “Water Jump Race” and “Climbing Race”.

All the events were divided in different groups where the students participated enthusiastically and with full zeal. The proud winners were awarded with medals.

The day’s event came to an end with the National Anthem. All the students departed with a broad smile on their faces and an everlasting memory to be cherished.

The audience witnessed an array of athletic events where competitiveness amongst the participants soared through the roof. The spectators could see the athlete’s determination and team spirit in 80 m, 200 m, 600 m, Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Balancing the Marble, Skipping Race, Monkey Net Hurdle and the most energetic event of the day, Relay Race.

The State Armed Police Pipe Band displayed a wonderful and well-synchronised presentation. The Best House Trophy of the meet was awarded to Vikramshila House and Valabhi House was adjudged with 1^st Runner-Up. The 5^th Annual Track & Field Meet saw its culmination with the National Anthem.

On 30.08.18, Shri Shiraz Daneshyar, I.A.S., Sub-Divisional Officer, Siliguri, visited the school and as a token of gesture, a demo cheque of Rs. 1,51,000.00 was handed over to him. Shri Shiraz appreciated the contribution made by the students and their parents and emphasised that students should always show compassion for the people in need. He encouraged the students to participate in community work and be positive towards the society in which they live.
